emiellr@lemm.eeto Framework Laptop Community@lemmy.ml•Framework’s new desktop is mini ITXEnglish12·4 months agoIs your idea of repairable based on whether ram is upgradable? They tried and couldn’t do it, so they had to settle for the next best thing.
emiellr@lemm.eeto Framework Laptop Community@lemmy.ml•Framework’s new desktop is mini ITXEnglish4·4 months agoIt looking like an AI machine is more AMD’s doing than Framework’s. Framework just grabbed one of, if not the highest performing mobile chip, which happens to be shipped with a big ass gpu
emiellr@lemm.eeto Framework Laptop Community@lemmy.ml•Framework’s new desktop is mini ITXEnglish72·4 months agoPeople keep shouting printer like they can just do it like that. Printers are a whole different beast, likely needing a whole seperate team with a different type of engineers. A desktop, given the existing team, is perfectly reasonable.
Calling a product DOA because of soldered ram is just a braindead take. Also, just because the ram isn’t upgradable the whole desktop isn’t upgradable or repairable? Are you hearing yourself? Get a grip.

emiellr@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Docker limits unauthenticated pulls to 10/hour/IP from Docker Hub, from March 1English5·4 months agoYou can, but only 10 images per hour. You’d be doing some wild shit to go over those 10 per hour.

emiellr@lemm.eeto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Any recommendations for a low-cost, low-hassle printer?English5·7 months agoFor good bed adhesion I think I have a couple pieces of advice:
- Get a PEI bed if you don’t already have one. It makes a world of difference.
- If that doesn’t stick well, consider getting something like this
- Make damn sure your bed is level
- Make sure the Z offset is properly set up
- If you aren’t already, start by printing PLA, then move on to other filaments once that goes well.
- Make sure you have proper temperatures for both the hot end and the bed. Normal values for PLA are 210-230 on the hotend and 50-60 on the bed.

emiellr@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•“Model collapse” threatens to kill progress on generative AIsEnglish24·9 months agoWait now hold on a minute. Why would I want to do this? Is this activism by people against LLMs in general or…? I’m confused as to why I would want to do this.
So how big is the chance you’re pulling your whole stack at once and not deploying service by service to check if it’s even working properly on the new deployment?
