I miss the seti program you could run on the computer and it helped look for life elsewhere. Turns out if ran out of funding a few years ago and that made me sad.

RebekahWSD@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you do with the sole purpose of annoying people?4·19 hours agoI annoy sibling by reminding them of their chores weekly, apparently.
Cats are people, and I annoy cats with my scary love! Which is normal love and kisses, but they’re cats.
I hate the inexorable passage of time, thanks!
RebekahWSD@lemmy.worldto Comic Strips@lemmy.world•We need no external validation for our appearance (by Shen)21·19 hours agoI try and compliment my husband often! He is bad at accepting compliments so I keep trying!
My bread loving ass looked at it and went “oh something is terribly wrong with the everything” before reading the other comment and understanding.
I’m not Southern, but I’ll hoover up a dozen of those deviled eggs in a second!
Yeeeah when I was growing up there were still old people who went tut tut over us little girls wearing pants and shorts. Dinguses.
RebekahWSD@lemmy.worldto Funny: Home of the Haha@lemmy.world•"You will need this". He did not need this8·1 day agoI like cursive. I use it when I ship people cookies or canned foods. Makes the letters look nice and clean, and I get compliments!
I always thought hysteria was for female anxiety not depression! Maybe it was both.
Oh they’re always clean cut! I’ll try moistening the needle over the thread next time, but it’s always so finicky.
USPS has always been great with two exceptions. They once broke a jar of apple butter and once lost a thing of cookies I shipped overnight for a month and they came back to me. They were scary.
That’s out of hundreds of packages, so I love USPS.
I have only managed to touch a little cat’s tongue once, and it was because that cat was a very slow silly cat. I grabbed her tongue and she was just like “huh?” until I let go, and then was “huh that was weird” and went back to grooming. This kitten would likely get feisty very quickly, as she as a brain!
Draw her surrounded by a gaggle of cats! Or crows!
RebekahWSD@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What game from your childhood is most nostalgic for you?5·2 days agoI suppose monopoly. It was the only game we really played. We also played trivial pursuit, but it was questions for my parents mostly.
I did get the question once of “What company was snoopy a mascot for” and answered “get met” which they were shocked and asked how I knew, and it was a brief appearance in a Bloom County comic, which they had the anthologies of so I read them all.
Good to know! I was taught as a child because raised female, and its helped more over the years than I thought it would! And repairing rips along seams came up several times!
I still hate threading the needles.
I’d be in there for depression or whatever they’d call my female depression.
We traveled a lot as children. I know we saw Germany but…not sure where. I remember Holland, that has/had a place called Maduradam I think and that was cool shit as a kid. We also saw more somber stuff. We also went specially to Wales and the Welsh were baffled at this decision. It was lovely.
